The member’s of the North Madison Volunteer Fire Company wish to express its sincere condolences to Jordan Kinscherf’s
family and friends during this difficult time. The entire company is devastated by the loss of one of our own.
Jordan was a very active member of the Fire Company’s Explorer Post for over two years. He recently completed an Emergency Medical Technician course which requires over one hundred and fifty hours of training. This goes to show his dedication to not only the fire department, but also to the community. Not only was Jordan active in the fire department; but he was very active in the community and with sports. His quiet leadership skills enabled him to act as a role model for other Explorers.

Jordan has been an explorer at the North Madison Vol Fire Company for many years. I've had the pleasure of being the lead
adviser to the explorer program for a long time. Jordan was one of the most enjoyable people to have around at our drills and activities. Sometimes our drills are all work and no play. But no
matter how boring and dull the drill was, Jordan could find a way to make us laugh. Sometimes it would come out of nowhere and sometimes you knew it was coming any second now. Jordan was just
with us the evening before at a water rescue drill, in his usual happy and laughing mood. Nobody wanted to go in the water (myself included). While we were complaining about it, Jordan just
jumped right in splashing all of us in the process. It was a lot of fun and none of us had any idea it would be the last time we'd all be together. Less than 12 hours later, we lost him.
There is no way we can adequately prepare ourselves to respond to a call for help when it is someone we know. Jordan's death is devastating to the entire company. Fire departments are
like big families and we have lost one of our own. Jordan may be gone but he will never be forgotten by the NMVFC and the Explorer Post
