Scenario: A hiker is injured and missing in the land trust trail system. Only information recieved is he was near the river and couldn’t walk when his cell phone battery died. A manual straight-line pattern search grid was established at the begining of the river. The injured party was located after approximately 25 minutes barely concious, hypothermic, and suffering from fall injuries. The team had to board the patient, load him in the stokes basket, and hand carry out of the woods to the trail where he was loaded on the off-road rescue gator.
